Last Saturday, my daughter Ella and I had the pleasure to attend a Mommy and me tea and preview the Light Up The Season fundraising event, hosted by the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC and the Children’s Health Board to benefit Children’s National Hospital.
This special event features holiday trees, mantles, a menorah, tablescape and dollhouse. Each item is a unique collaboration between a patient of Children’s National Hospital and a notable designer and is available for purchase. Ella’s favorite tree was the “tree-pee” designed by patient Bella.
The actual event is this Sunday, December 15th from 1-4pm with visits from Santa and Dr. Bear, musical performances and children’s crafts and activities such as painting. Each painting will be donated to a patient at Children’s National Hospital.
Such an important message during the holidays teaching our kids to give something to other children who are sick and do not have the same chances as they do.
Let’s now talk about our holiday outfits! My blue sequin dress is from Zara. Dark blue sequins is another chic option after black sequins. Sequins might be a bit overdressed for an afternoon tea but not during the holidays!
Ella’s black velvet and plaid dress with a taffeta lining is from Target. I linked both dresses in the Shop the Look below.

Hope you enjoyed this Holiday post.
What’s your favorite holiday family activity?
