Effortless Chic Parisian Day-to-Night Summer Look

Effortless Chic Parisian Day-to-Night Summer Look

It’s hard to believe that next week at this time I’ll be in France!

It will be a bitter sweet trip as I’ll be visiting my grandfather who has a few weeks to live, according to his doctors. He was recently diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer and at age 95, there’s just not much more the doctors can do. I’m very close to both my grandparents who have always been very supportive so it will be very hard to say goodbye for the last time 🙁

My grandparents live 45 minutes north of Paris, close to Chantilly, the Horse Capital of France, famous for its Château, as well as the oldest racecourse and horse training center in France. You can read my “Summer Vacationing in France” blog post where we went there as a family vacation, three years ago.

After spending a few days in Chantilly, I will stay in Paris with my goddaughter who lives in the heart of Paris on the left bank, close to all the cafés and small boutiques.

I will be packing a few essentials because you know, shopping happens! The weather in Paris during this time of year is actually a bit cooler so I’ll be sure to pack for layers.

When packing for a trip, I usually pack basics to help me create effortless chic outfits that don’t require too much efforts – jet lag gets in the way – and that I can easily change from day to night.

Here are the essentials I will be packing for my Parisian trip:

  • Adidas Sneakers & Black Heels
  • Levi’s 501 Jeans
  • Blazer
  • Crop Top
  • White Blouse
  • Marinière, also known as the Breton shirt

Hope you enjoyed this Parisian day-to-night look. You can follow me on Instagram, if you don’t already where I will be sharing more pictures from my trip.

Hope your summer is off to a great start!

A bientôt mes amies!

  1. I understand your bitter feelings so well. I just mourn the loss of my grandmother a few days ago. She was 104 years old and even if I was well prepared to her death, it’s so difficult to face reality. But as she certainly would have said: “la vie continue !” So, wish you the best and bon retour en France !

  2. Such a great way to switch up an outfit from day to night with a few touches. I hope you have fun in Paris, although how sad that it’s not going to be a pleasant trip, so sorry to hear about your grandfather.
