Happy 2021! With 2020 behind us and like many of us, I’m looking forward to a more positive year where we can all resume a normal life.
Personally, it’s been a rocky start to the new year. I started getting sick after Christmas and tested positive for COVID-19. My symptoms lasted for about two weeks with body ache, low grade fever, headache as well as loss of taste and smell.
My energy level was at its lowest but luckily I didn’t experience any severe symptoms. To help speed my recovery, I have been taking extra vitamin C and vitamin D drinking fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast, one or two whole milk glasses throughout the day. I tried to rest up as much as possible with an afternoon nap and a good night sleep.
Since New Year’s Eve was such a blur and I obviously didn’t make it to midnight, Hubby and I dressed up and opened a Veuve Clicquot champagne bottle this weekend. We cheered for a healthy and prosperous new year with the hope of a normal life soon and traveling again!
This little black slip dress from Zara was just perfect for our intimate occasion. I can’t tell you how good it felt to put on a dress and heels! I have been wearing it on repeat in the house, layering it with a cozy sweater. I accessorized my New Year’s look with this beautiful Farondole long necklace from Hermes, that I can’t stop obsessing over! Santa was very good this year! You can also style a slip dress with an oversized blazer like I did here with hubby’s blazer to get that instant French girl effortless style.
Did you know the French celebrate New Year’s throughout the month of January?

Hope your New Year is off to a great start!
As always, thank you so much for reading! All my wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year!
Bonne Année et Bonne Santé!

I’m glad you recovered that quick! And looking so good! Very elegant.
So sorry to hear you got sick. Glad you recovered rather quickly with minimal symptoms.
That necklace is GORGEOUS!!! I love that you let that be the statement piece.
