French Chic Fall Essential: Faux Leather Shorts

I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed with faux-leather. It’s the perfect transition fabric that you can sport from fall to spring. It’s the cool weather fabric that gets cooler every year and every fall season. Less expensive than real leather, faux-leather is much more practical and is such a versatile staple that adds a little edge to any chic wardrobe.

This fall, I added a pair of faux leather shorts to my leather closet essentials. You may think that shorts are more of a summer staple but trust me, styled with stockings or opaque tights, black boots, a black turtleneck and a black coat, you automatically have that effortless, Je ne sais quoi fall and winter French girl look.

There are so many ways to style leather shorts. You can wear them with a blazer for a more tailored look or with a sheer bodysuit and metallic sandals for a holiday party look.

In this transitional fall outfit, I simply styled these faux leather shorts from Zara with a sheer off white lace blouse, black polka dots stockings, and black sock booties. I can’t wait to wear my shorts with a black sweater and floppy hat when the colder temperatures come.
