5 French Beauty Essentials for Fall

Here are a few French beauty essentials that will help your skin transition to Fall. Whenever I go to France, I make sure to shop at a local pharmacy for the latest body care essentials based on my skin type which happens to be dry and sensitive.

Roger&Gallet Soaps

  1. Roger&Gallet Soaps

The Roger&Gallet brand has been around for more than 150 years and in 1879, was the first Parisian perfume house to create the first round soap. What I love about these soaps is their scents and unique signature fragrances. They are very light and the vegetable-based lather rich in essential oils is so soft on your skin! They also make great gifts as they come in a set of 3, each individually wrapped and presented in a beautiful gift box. Available on Amazon at $22.77 in the following scents: lavender, citron, orange blossom and rose.

2. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse

This is the no. 1 multi-purpose oil sold in pharmacies today in France. You can use it for your face, body and hair, especially this time of year when you need that extra moisturizing and nourishing. I’m usually not a big fan of oils as they tend to be greasy. This is definitely not the case with this dry oil. You will love its scent too with its 6 botanical oils. Available on Amazon, at $36.

3. Bioderma Sensibio H2O Water

This is the best eye and face make-up remover for sensitive skin! Also called micellar water, the Bioderma Sensibio product line has the perfect ingredients for sensitive and reactive skin types. It doesn’t irritate your skin or your eyes, and leaves it feeling very hydrated and fresh. The best part is you don’t need a separate eye make-up remover; you can use it as a face cleanser as well. Available on Amazon at $19.50.

French Beauty Essentials

4. Garnier Ultra Nourishing Body Lotion

I’m usually more of a Nivea type of girl when it comes to body lotions but I fell in love with Garnier’s Ultra Nourishing body lotion with olive oil. It leaves your skin super hydrated all day long! This specific scent is only available in Europe but I recently purchased the Garnier Intensive Shea Butter lotion and love it as much!

5. Perfume

As Coco Chanel used to say: “A woman who doesn’t wear perfume has no future” and Fall is the perfect time to try a new scent. I’m currently wearing Burberry Weekend. I love its refreshing and citrusy tone.

What about you? What’s your favorite beauty essential?

  1. I love each and every scents from Roger & Gallet! They were my grandfather’s only hand soap for years, and indeed he always had a few in stock for guests! Such a cherished childhood memory. Love your post!
