French women like to mix and match new staples with worn ones. Each season, I shop for a few accessories like shoes and jewelry to refresh an older essential and create a new outfit.
I like to keep my accessories pretty minimal and try not to put too much efforts into my ensembles.
A friend of mine once told me that when she was last in Paris, she noticed French women dressed for themselves while American women dressed for other women. I thought that was an interesting observation. I do have to admit that I never like feeling uncomfortable in my clothes and prefer sticking to my style that someone’s else style . Trying too hard is not that sexy after all!
The Black Jumpsuit
A black jumpsuit is a must-have in every French girl’s summer wardrobe, especially when you’re tall like me. It’s the most effortless summer chic outfit and paired with the right accessories, you can get that Parisian Chic look instantly.
The Sailor Look
You can never own enough striped tops, especially when you’re French! This off the shoulder top from Zara featured here is one of my favorites. I like how it falls slightly off my shoulders and lets me show a little bit of skin! I paired it with my favorite distressed white jeans from PAIGE. White jeans are a great way to stay cool in the summer heat! Just roll up the hems et voilà! A simple touch yet very chic!
And don’t forget the hat! A straw or panama hat is essential to complete this French Riviera look. I wear mine all the time, especially at the beach.
What about you? What’s your go-to summer outfit?
Hope you enjoyed both of these French Chic summer looks!
As always, thanks for reading.
A bientôt ♥
