Recently, I had the pleasure of attending afternoon tea at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown, re-invented as DC Tea, which is making a come back after being so popular for many years.
I took my daughter who absolutely loves tea parties and it was the perfect tea party for her to practice her table manners 🙂
DC Tea is almost your Majesty’s tea! The Executive Chef, Andrew Court, who’s originally from England, has completely re-introduced the authentic version of the British Afternoon Tea to Washington D.C with its traditional scones and fresh strawberry jams.
The best part about DC Tea is unlimited Bottomless Moet Champagne served as you indulge in cherry blossom petit-fours and cucumber-mint crust-less sandwiches.
The menu also includes savory petit fours like the Chesapeake Bay Crab Roll or Quail Egg Oatcake and sweet decadent deserts like the Hazelnut-Chocolate Opera.
If champagne is not your cup of tea (no pun intended) and need a drink with a little more kick, you can always ask the bartender for a tea-infused Martini that will make your pinky stand tall.
The menu also offers a milk jar with a gigantic chocolate cookie for the little ones. My daughter ordered hers after a full plate of deserts which completely satisfied her sweet tooth!
If you happen to be in Georgetown on a Saturday afternoon and looking for a chic and modern way to spend a Saturday afternoon, stop by the Four Season Hotel to enjoy DC Tea!
Full Tea with Unlimited Champagne is 75$, Tea without Champagne is 60$ and Children’s tea is 30$ under 12 years of age.
For the occasion, I went for a modern chic look and styled a plaid blazer with a graphic tee and grey denim jeans. You can shop the look below.

Hope you enjoyed this post.
As always, thanks for reading.
A bientôt ♥

I’m do glad you can do a British afternoon tea there but I bet there s no clotted cream. Or wss there. Clotted is solid and yellow rather than white. Yes over here a hotel afternoon tea does have the champagne option. My post on the Berkeley shows 3 UK bloggers having afternoon tea and champagne in London. Do join my muttonstyle Mondays link up.
