It’s hard to believe that hubby and I are celebrating 23 years of marriage. Time flies when you’re having fun! Don’t get me wrong, marriage is A LOT of work and requires A LOT of comprises 🙂
To celebrate the happy occasion, hubby surprised me with a weekend gateway to Caresse, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, in Bodrum while on our family vacation in Turkey.
Bodrum is the St. Tropez of Turkey. With over 2 millions people, it’s a very busy town with tons of restaurants, boutiques, bars and nightclubs.
Our summer house is located in Datça, near Marmaris which is more quiet and secluded so it was fun to go out and party late at night!
Hubby completely went out of his way and booked a suite overviewing the beautiful Aegean sea. The panorama view of the bay will stay with me forever!
In addition to the breathtaking views, the resort offers many luxury amenities from the infinity pool looking at the Aegean sea to the tranquil spa with its calming open-air Jacazzi and dreamy treatments. I pampered myself to a hip & cellulite treatment and felt so renewed!
The resort is also famous for its Buddha-Bar which recently opened last June. We enjoyed many Mediterranean dishes and lots of seafood dishes like grilled octopus, stuffed mussels with rice and bronzino fish.
We loved dining alfresco to the famous Buddha-Bar soundtrack – a delightful mix of lounge and house music combined with local Turkish beats.
I highly recommend this Marriott Bonvoy property which won the 2017 Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Award.
The resort is so beautiful, we did a full family photoshoot!
Now back to reality, getting the kids ready for school. My son is returning to UVA as his third-year and my daughter is staring fifth grade!
