No matter what the season is, stripes are timeless and will never go out of style, especially summer stripes!
While matching shorts suits are all the rage this summer, I’m having a little fun mixing stripes pieces like this striped piqué cotton blazer from Ralph Lauren and paperbag shorts from Zara and creating my own shorts suit.
Like any bold prints, stripes in different fabrics and textures can go very well together.
For this outfit, the subtle stripes from the cotton piqué blazer offset the wider stripes from the shorts. To get a more polished and effortless chic look, opt for the stripes to go in the same direction, like all vertical stripes for this outfit.
Try a striped top with a pair of denim or a bodysuit with linen pants. These are other chic combinations as well.
Now, if you’re looking for a more dramatic effect, you can play with the print and wear stripes in different directions. Just keep your separates in the same color hue so your outfit doesn’t look too busy.
If you want to go for a more neutral look and get that instant French girl look, go for striped printed on neutrals and flip the colors with each staple for a chic contrast!

What about you? Are you having fun mixing stripes or bold prints?
Hope you enjoyed this summer outfit.
As always, thanks for reading.
A bientôt ♥
