How to Style Chic All-Black Holiday Outfit

How to Style Chic All-Black Holiday Outfit

An all-black outfit is always chic, especially for a Holiday occasion, as soon as you add a few styling details to make sure that you keep your outfit festive chic, and not like you’re going to a funeral 🙂

First tip is to mix different textures to give more depth to your holiday party outfit. There are so many fun textures you can mix and match: sequins, lace, velvet, leather, satin, suede, fur or tulle.

Second tip is adding accessories like a glitter belt or clutch or statement jewelry to elevate your look.

Third tip is to go with pieces that you’re comfortable in! Trust me, you don’t have to wear a cocktail dress if you don’t feel comfortable in it. Confidence is your best accessory and French women are known to have that effortless chic or Je ne sais quoi look simply because they are so comfortable in their clothes.

Last and not least, don’t forget a statement jewelry piece or accessory! I love a golden accent with all-black outfit but any sparkling bling will do!

Knowing your personal style is key, especially during the holidays so you can truly enjoy the company of others and not have to suffer with any wardrobe malfunction!

My go-to holiday party outfit is an all-black pants/leggings with blazer and suede pumps. I just feel more comfortable in dressy pants than a LDB!

This year, I’ve added some new chic staples to my holiday wardrobe that I can mix and match for all my holiday parties:

  1. Spanx faux-leather black leggings: a must-have to your winter chic wardobe!
  2. Black Tweed Blazer: this style is from Zara but linked a similar style on LIKETOKNOW.IT
  3. Black Velvet turtleneck: a chic alternative to a cotton or wool turtleneck
  4. Black Sheer Blouse: a simple sheer blouse or bodysuit like the Spank Sheer Mesh bodysuit

I have styled these two holiday outfits to show you how by mixing different textures, you can get that effortless chic look.

In the first outfit, I styled my Spanx faux-leather leggings and velvet blazer with a vintage tulle skirt to give it more of a chic statement.

In the second outfit I simply styled the same Spanx leggings with a black tweed blazer and sheer black blouse.

For both outfits, you can replace the leggings with a pair of skinny black jeans or leather pants.

Hope you enjoyed these chic holiday all-black outfits. Both outfits are linked on LIKETOKNOW.IT.

Would love to hear which one is your favorite!

As always, thanks for reading!

A bientôt â™¥
