Fall in Washington DC is by far my favorite season. The humidity is finally gone, the crisp air is here and the autumn foliage is spectacular no matter where you go.
One of my favorite thing to do on a fall weekend is to go antique shopping. I’m always on the look out for a statement piece as I love decorating our house with unique pieces.
Many of the antique shops in Northern Virginia are located near Leesburg. The most established one is The Old Lucketts Store which has a very large collection of antiques, vintage hip finds from furniture, clothing, jewelry, gardening and original art.
Their holiday open house and winter market is November 9-10-11 and the best Instagrammable holiday spot for all your holiday family photos and #ootd holiday outfits!
My second favorite antique place is Ekster Antiques, in Hamilton, VA. Set in four barns, Ekster sells European antiques, mostly from Belgium, France and The Netherlands. The owner, Caroline, who is an amazing visionary and interior decorator, travels to Europe several times a year to find unique and eclectic items, all imported from Europe.
I love how each barn is staged with so many old and newer finds! I get so much inspiration browsing around and always get to bring home a new treasure!
My next antique store visit will be Rust & Feathers, just north of Leesburg. They will have a Holiday Open House the weekend of November 9th and 11th which certainly will help with my holiday shopping!
Now, let’s talk about the outfit which has been my weekend go-to outfit these days! A pair of denim, cardi and suede boots are the most effortless chic combination! I scored this long camel sweater at Old Navy for only $39 and simply belt it to add a bit more of a chic style. You can shop this look on my LIKETOKNOW.IT profile.
Hope you’re enjoying all fall things!
A bientôt ♥
