This is a special post as Bon & Chic Style is celebrating 2 years! It’s been an amazing journey, with some bumps along the way but I have learned so much about what it takes to build your brand and have met incredible people along the way.
My favorite part about blogging is definitely meeting other fashionistas, lifestyle bloggers and collaborating with brands. I’m exciting for the opportunities ahead and can’t wait to share with you!
To celebrate this milestone, I wanted to share this satin maxi dress outfit I wore a few weeks ago at a cocktail reception hubby and I attended for an industry event at The Willard InterContinental hotel downtown Washington DC.
The Willard is a luxury historic establishment where you can spot The Who’s Who of Washington DC, mostly politicians and lobbyists. I opted for this chic yet a bit conservative satin black and mustard striped dress. What do you think?
This satin maxi dress believe or not is from Forever 21. It’s so flowy and lightweight that it feels like wearing sleepwear! I particularly love the cami straps with the tassels-tie details and scoop back. To give it a modern twist, I paired it with a simple denim jacket and these classic open-toe black heels. You can also wear the dress with simple flat sandals for a more casual chic look.
