Happy first day of SUMMER! The long summer nights, unplanned road trips and countless glasses of chilled rosé are finally here!
In one of my last posts I mentioned that I prefer wearing natural fabrics like cotton, linen or silk in the summer heat. They’re just more breathable than synthetic fabrics and softer on your skin.
Culottes or wide-leg pants, are one of my favorite summer staples. They’re super comfy and make a chic statement on their own. They can be tricky to style if you add too many layers. All you need is keep the rest of your outfit simple with a solid or graphic tee.
What I love most about culottes pants is the versatility. You can style them for an easy casual summer day look with a white tank top and sandals; to the office with a blouse and strappy heels or to a party with a bralette under a blazer and high heels. Culottes look so chic with heels since they’re so baggy!
I scored this grey striped linen culottes from the Who What Wear collection at Target. Love the high-waist fit and how it feels like wearing a skirt, except they’re pants! Since the culottes have stripes, I styled it with a simple white cami (my latest obsession) from H&M and dressed it up with slingback d’Orsay pumps. Just add a Panama hat to get that chic easy summer look!
