If you don’t have one already, the shirt dress is a wardrobe essential you absolutely need this summer. It’s such a versatile staple and with the right fit, will give you that effortless chic look.
This striped shirt dress is from Who What Wear collection from Target. I’m so impressed with their chic collection this summer. A lot of their pieces are great quality, made with natural fabrics like cotton or linen. It’s very budget friendly too.
Not sure about your Target, but my Target has an entire section displaying the Who What Wear collection and I couldn’t resist buying a few staples on my last run! The collection is so affordable that you don’t feel guilty buying a few pieces to refresh your everyday style.
This striped shirt dress is 100% cotton and fits perfectly to the waist which further accentuates the length of the dress – the vertical stripes also help elongating any figure.
I’m very picky when it comes to the fabric composition, especially in the summer. In my mind, natural fabrics like cotton, linen or silk are the best fabrics to wear in hot weather. I try to stay away from synthetic fabrics as much as I can as they’re not as breathable.
The best part about a shirt dress is it can also be worn as a duster or kimono over shorts. Who doesn’t like two for one chic looks?
