Spring is such a whimsical season that you only need a few chic staples to refresh your wardrobe. Today, I want to share with you this Jane Birkin-inspired outfit that I shopped for at Forever 21 on my last trip to Las Vegas.
Jane Birkin’s iconic style from the ’60s embodies the true French girl style: simple and elegant, laid back and chic.
This spring, bold stripes are everywhere and you know how French women feel about their striped basics! I do own a few classic striped shirts – including hubby’s oversized shirts which I wear in the house all the time over leggings.
I love the feminine style of this deep blue striped blouse with its delicate bell sleeves and tie at the waist. Forever 21 keeps on surprising me and completely validates my fashion motto that style doesn’t have to expensive!
A striped top and flare denim jeans are sure to look ultra-chic together. A wide-leg denim is also perfect for transitioning into the hot summer months. Try to go for a lighter denim shade to help you stay cool! – literally and figuratively 🙂
Complete this casual chic look with Chanel-inspired slingback shoes (these d’Orsay pumps are Ivanka Trump. Shhh, this will be our little secret). Add a pair of oversized shades, and you’ll be sure to get that instant effortless French girl style “Je ne sais quoi” boho chic look.
