Last Saturday night, Hubby and I went out on a much deserved date. Things have been pretty stressful lately with my job and hubby’s health.
We love heading to Middleburg during this time of year, stroll around and go out for lunch or dinner. The drive is so pretty and always reminds me of the French countryside where I grew up.
There are some lovely boutiques like Lou Lou Boutique, whose first store opened in Middleburg, antique shops and art galleries that are worth the short hour drive!
Our favorite place to dine at is The Red Fox Inn. My family has been going there for years. My brother even got engaged there! In the spring and summer time, they open their lovely stone patio and last Saturday night was a beautiful summer night to eat al Fresco.
The menu at The Red Fox Inn offers a full dinner menu or pub fares. After sharing a baked Brie as an appetizer, hubby had the Virginian Trout with almonds and I had the lamb burger with asparagus, accompanied by a beautiful rose. Très bon!
To celebrate the occasion, I styled this classic Middleburg look (think Jackie O. Kennedy) and wore a khaki ruffle skirt and off the shoulder white top. I love how the ruffles cascade to the side of the skirt and the bell sleeves details on the top. To complete the look, I paired it my inspired-Chanel slingback shoes and accentuated my waist with a wide brown leather belt.
I also want to take this opportunity to wish my friend Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood a very happy 6th blog birthday! It’s always so much fun sharing outfits with other fashionistas 🙂
Hope you enjoyed this post.
As always, thanks for reading.
A bientôt ♥

Great look, Christine. Beautiful location as well.
Thank you Judith!
Christine, this outfit is fantastic! I also love the way the ruffles cascade down the skirt and the off the shoulder top is the perfect pairing with it for a super chic and sexy look! Such beautiful photos in a lovely location, too.

Thanks for stopping by Shelbee! Have a beautiful day!
WOW Virginia is beautiful. I loved, loved this outfit when you e-mailed it to me. That cascading khaki skirt is such a beautiful, fun yet classy piece and you styled it perfectly. I too thought Jackie O especially with the off-shoulder boat-neck top and those two-tone pumps which are stunning. I am glad you and your hubby had a great date. The food and place as described, sound fantastic!
