In last’s week blog post, I shared how to create a 5-piece French Chic wardrobe starting with the white button-down shirt and tips you can use when shopping for quality basics.
This week, I’m sharing how to style three other French Chic basics: the faux-black leather pants, the silk blouse and the trench coat.
Shooting this outfit was a bit challenging to say the least. It was cold and windy and when looking at the pictures, the famous proverb “In like a lion, out like a lamb” came to my mind right away!
A trench coat is perfect for transitioning from your winter coat to a spring coat. This particular style is a bit shorter and not belted like the classic trench coat but I love incorporating spring colors into my transitional looks. I’ve linked a similar style on ShopStyle. A pair of faux-leather pants or leggings with a silk white tunic blouse (or a white button-down shirt) are effortless chic staples that will help you transition easily into spring. The tunic is linked on ShopStyle. You might still want to layer this casual chic outfit with a chunky cardigan, which I wished I was wearing the day I shot this outfit!
