Effortless French Chic New Year’s Eve Outfit

Effortless French Chic New Year's Eve Outfit

Ready to ring in the New Year without looking like a human disco ball?  Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about looking festive but it doesn’t have to involve any extra-sparkly sparkles. I personally like to go for a more subtle and effortless chic look by taking a weekend date night outfit to the next level.

You can simply do that by mixing textures and adding a little shine like a pair of black faux-leather pants with a metallic strappy top.  Complete the look with a VERY comfortable pair of shoes and sparkly jewelry. Trust me, you don’t want to wear a brand new pair of shoes on New Year’s Eve! Hubby and I usually go out dancing so I can’t worry about blisters!

This year, we’re celebrating the new year in true Parisian style at Malmaison ‘s Midnight in Paris soirée in Georgetown. Follow me on Instagram to see all the fun!

Happy New Year! or like they say in French: “Bonne Année & Bonne Santé!”

Ada: “New Year’s Eve is literally a few days away and I still have to finalize my plans, but no matter what I do I will settle for a girly+sexy silky camisole and a touch of leather and lace. I am loving this combination of burgundy with black – always a classic color pairing for Winter – and all the textures. Stop by the blog too, to see Vivian’s own coordinated, matchy outfit. Happy 2018 and let it shine!!”

Monica: “Y’all it’s almost 2018!  Are you excited, or is it just another year for you?  Regardless, Happy New Year!  I’m not one to make resolutions, but there are a few that I am making this year because I have a lot of stuff to do in the new year, so might as well set some resolutions with my life goals.”

Chrissy: “Our NYE celebration changes each year. We may be gaming and setting off fireworks, chilling with friends or even falling asleep (gasp) on our own comfy sofa. I can’t remember the last time I rang in the new year with dancing, so I’m a little rusty but ready to give it a go this year!!”

Linda: “I found this skirt last year at Target after the holidays and it has been waiting in my closet for the perfect occasion. The sweater was an H&M sale also last year after the holidays.  Two random pieces waiting for the special event.  This year we are celebrating in Atlanta and heading to the Peach Bowl, leaving the snow and cold behind.  Happy New Year and all the best to everyone’s families.”

Kristin: “We’re headed to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, to celebrate New Year’s Eve this year and I’m so excited! Instead of a dress I’m going to be wearing this velvet bodysuit, skinny pants, and ‘Happy New Year’ headband. I can’t wait to see everyone’s looks!”

Shelbee: “I stay in every year for New Year’s Eve, but that doesn’t stop me from dressing up and celebrating the occasion.  This year I am giving the pajama/lingerie trend a try with this lacy burgundy and black dress layered under a black lace and velvet kimono.  Some fun patterned fish nets, patent leather booties in wine, and sparkly jewelry complete the look.  And if it really does look like pajamas, it doesn’t much matter since I am not leaving my house! I wish you all many blessings in the New Year! “

Kellyann: “We spend NYE with our closest friends.  We make lots of yummy food, play games, and listen to music.  We’ve been doing this for years and we always have a great time.  While I want to look festive I also want to be comfortable so I chose my new sweatshirt and comfiest faux leather leggings.  Happy New Year to everyone!”

Lee: “New Years – “We aren’t huge New Years Eve partiers. This year we will stay home and watch a movie like we do every year.  I am sharing a second way to style the leather front leggings.  Versatility is important to me when buying clothing.”

Christine: “I like to keep my NYE outfit simple and effortless. Hubby and I go out dancing so I want to be sure I’m comfortable all night! This faux-leather leggings and metallic top are perfect to ring in the New Year in style!”

  2. Comfy shoes are a must! I’m with you on that! My husband and I like to go out on NYE, too, for dinner, drinks, and dancing. The pleats on that top are so fun and I love the movement of it! Have fun in Georgetown 🙂
