It’s hard to believe that Christmas is less than two weeks away!
With our son in college at UVA, this Christmas will be extra special having him at home for about a month!
For a few years now, our Christmas tradition is going on a family vacation right before Christmas. With the kids being older now, we feel that it’s more important to share an unique experience like traveling than giving toys.
Plus traveling is a great way for the kids to learn new cultures and we get to create memories that will last a lifetime!
Last Christmas, we discovered Toronto and we loved Canada so much that we decided to explore Montréal this year.
We’ll be staying in Old Montréal which dates back to the 17th century and is reminiscent of a European City. The best part of course is the heavy French influence and a chance for the kids to practice their French! You can follow me on Instagram where I’ll be sharing our daily adventures!
We’ll be back just in time to celebrate Christmas’s Eve at our house and Christmas Day at my parent’s house on the Eastern shore in Maryland.
Our holiday family get togethers are pretty casual and this romantic Victorian inspired outfit is perfect for a casual Chic Christmas. I absolutely love this delicate ecru lace blouse from White House Black Market worn under this black velvet blazer from Macy’s. The velvet blazer look is a chic alternative to any holiday dress outfit. You can just throw on a pair of jeans or a metallic skinny jeans. I had to be comfortable too for all the yummy food we will eat and since I will be spending Christmas at home this year with my immediate family, I chose a simple+casual look. Gëzuar Krishtlindjet!! That means «Merry Christmas» in Albanian.”

Since I have no idea what the weather will really be like that day – it could be 80 or it could be 50, welcome to Florida – I chose a lightweight sweater with fun sleeves and faux leather leggings.”

Kristin: “Our last two years in Germany we have had friends and family come visit us for Christmas. This year my husband and I will be enjoying the holiday by ourselves (along with our pup) so we will make a nice dinner at home and pop some champagne. That’s why I’m keeping it casual with a bell sleeve sweater, jeans, and red heels. Happy Holidays, everyone!”

Linda: “This has been my Christmas Day outfit for the last three years. A skirt I found at Winners ( TJMaxx equiv) over a decade ago but on that is timeless. Sometimes I wear it with a black cashmere sweater or with a white lace sweater. I love the festive yet fun look of Santa and the skateboards.
