3 French Chic Ways to Wear Your Jeans This Fall

Transitioning your summer wardrobe to fall can be stressful. With cooler temperatures in the morning and humid temperatures in the afternoon, it’s the most confusing time of the year when you can get up in the morning with that most dreading question: “What am I going to wear today?”.

A pair of jeans is one of my favorite transitional staple that works perfectly around fall weather. For that pre-fall chic look, the lighter blue shade denim, the better. As temps get colder, I gradually go for those darker blue shade denim. Just remember, the trick to transitioning dressing are thin and removable layers!

Here are 3 simple French Chic go-to denim outfits with my favorite J.Crew Bryson wash jean that you can easily style for a fall weekend, casual Friday at the office or date night.

1. Weekend Casual Look: White Tee and Long Cardigan

This look is so effortless and chic. All you need is a simple white tee or graphic t-shirt, roll up the hem on your jeans and layer the look with a long cardigan. A long cardigan helps elongate your figure and hide those curves 🙂 My favorite tees lately are from Nudy Patooty. Made with luxurious bamboo, they are softer than cotton and can also be worn as an undershirt in colder weather. You can learn what makes Nudy Patooty’s tees so unique in one of my previous posts. Complete the look with flats or sneakers for extra comfort running around.

2. Casual Friday Day Look: Striped Blouse and Grey Blazer

Stripes add a bold statement to any look, especially with denim. I love the wider stripes of this blouse from Zara. You can dress up this look for the office with a grey or black blazer. You can also replace the blazer with a quilted vest or oversized sweater in the colder fall weather. The suede booties are from BP Nordstrom and are the perfect style to transition to fall.

3. Date Night Look: The Long Blazer

You can easily go from a day to night look by simply changing your top to a white or black tee, swapping your office shoes to your highest heels and put on a long blazer. A long blazer or short coat adds elegance to any evening look. Blush is a soft color that works well for a pre-fall look. I bought this piece back in the spring and love wearing it as a transitional fall piece. Complete the look with open toe pumps.  Suede shoes add a soft touch to any fall outfits. I bought this beautiful pair in Rome a few years ago but linked a similar style here.
