Date Night Outfit – French Girl Chic Style

Finding the perfect outfit for your next date night doesn’t have to be stressful. This is the one occasion you want to wear that one effortless chic outfit and avoid wearing a new pair of shoes (trust me, I’ve learned the hard way in my twenty years of marriage).

My hubby and I try to go out a date as much as we can. Making time for each other is so important when you have kids. When we go on a date, we actually make a point of not talking about our kids!

My go-to date night outfit lately is relatively simple. For our Valentine’s Day date, I paired my favorite gray skinny jeans with this delicate off the shoulder blush lace bodysuit top from Guess. Did I tell you that I’m currently obsessed with gray and blush combined together?

The soft blush color and lace details add a nice sophisticated touch to the distressed gray denim. You know, it’s all about mixing high and low, classic and trendy to make any outfit chic.

 

Add simple black heels in the form of strappy stilettos or pumps and pair your jeans with a statement outwear piece like a sleek leather jacket and you’re sure to turn heads!

Don’t forget the accessories! A statement jewelry piece like this metallic choker or pendant earrings will definitely make your date comment on how beautiful you look!

Full disclosures: in the winter, I’m more of a denim-wearing type than the little dress-wearing type. In the summer, I feel more comfortable in a little dress layered with a denim jacket.

The most important thing is to embrace your own individual style and keep things real simple, so you can truly enjoy your date and not have to worry about how you look the entire evening. French women have that “Je ne sais quoi” simply because they exuberate confidence in what they’re wearing, which men find to be super sexy!
