After working in the beauty industry for more than 5 years now, I can tell you that I own a lot of black essentials and for the longest time, a black outfit seems to be my only go-to office outfit. It’s true that an all black outfit is the essential of chic, especially for winter fashion and a professional wardrobe, but adding a pop of color can also be very stylish.

Lately though, I’ve worn this black and white look quite a few times – at meetings with our creative advertising agency, salon events, conferences and vendor lunches. Each time, I’ve received many compliments on how sophisticated and chic this look was.

The best part about this look is that it’s so comfortable, which is key for getting that effortless and elegant stylish look. You can read more about what makes a French woman classy and elegant in one of my older post: “How to get a Parisian Chic Fall Wardrobe“.

You might be asking yourself, are leggings acceptable in the work place? Absolutely! As soon as they are good quality (not the cheap kind) and you dress it up with a blouse and blazer, as shown here, and do not wear sneakers with it!

Effortless and chic doesn’t  have to be expensive. Both the long-sleeve blouse and fitted leggings were under $50! Thank you Nordstrom Rack!

What about you? Do you have a go-to office outfit?

Hope this look has inspired you to add a pop of color to your work outfits.

Would love to hear  your comments. As always, thanks for reading my post!
