How to get that Effortless and Chic Fall Weekend Outfit

Happy October!  It’s the official kick-off to fall fashion! If you’re like me, fall means denim jeans with high heels and leather handbags. Don’t get me wrong, I loved wearing my shorts with my Tory Burch sandals and Michael Kors crossbody bag this summer; but when the temperatures start cooling off, there’s nothing like putting your soft denim jeans back on with your favorite pumps (or flats if heels are not your things) and taking out your fall handbag out of the closet. I personally welcome the first half of fall with layers and progressively transition into sweaters when it starts getting really cold. I’m always on the go so layers work perfectly.

This year, I added a few essentials to my fall weekend wardrobe:

  • Bodysuits. One with stripes, featured below and one black, both available at H&M. I love the fitted look, especially with skinny jeans. It helps those of us with curves have a slender figure :-).
  • Distressed skinny jeans with a light blue denim wash. Nordstrom Rackck has a great selection of skinny jeans including two of my favorite brands: Articles of Society and BlankNYC (featured here). Both brands are premium denim at an affordable price.

#StyleTip: wear a statement piece you already own with a worn-out feel, like a jacket or a handbag, and mix it with new staples to give your outfit a chic look.

What I love about this outfit is mixing the black stripe bodysuit with a light wash denim, brown leather belt and olive jacket. Earth colors work great for fall staples.  The pumps add a nice fall touch as well with the tweed texture. I love dressing up jeans with heels. You can also update this look for a night out. Replace the brown belt with a black belt and change the jacket with a black blazer and you’re all set to go out!

What about you? Are denim jeans your go-to fall staples?

I’d love to hear your comments!

Thanks for reading my post. Happy Fall!
