The Perfect Summer Dress: Little White Dress (LWD)

Why can’t summer last forever so we could all wear short dresses, put on high heels and call it a day?

The end of summer is a great time to be wearing a short dress. Chances are you have a nice sun-kissed tan and you’re still dealing with heat and humidity where you live.

This summer, I fell in love with a little white dress, that I bought in a small boutique when strolling the streets of Old Grasse, in Provence.

CourregesWhiteDressThe dress was displayed on a mannequin outside the store and caught my eyes right away. I love its A-line form which reminded me of the famous French designer, André Courrèges from the  1960s. He is known for his innovative Couture Future collection with its geometric forms and primary colors.

What I love about shopping in France is the variety of small boutiques that sell great quality clothing without the big designer names. I can tell right away by touching the fabric of the garment if it’s good quality or not. In the summer, I like wearing a lot of cotton and this dress, made in Italy, happen to have just the right combination with 97% cotton and 3% spandex and side pockets!

Plus, when you shop at the end of the season, you just can’t wait to wear it the following season!

These adorable espadrilles wedges were my last splurge on our trip.

I’ll be dreaming about them during the cold winter months!

Hope you get to enjoy the end of this beautiful summer. Soon I’ll be talking about fall essentials.

A bientôt!♥
